VEGGIE SOUP

Lima Region Development Professionals Roundtable (aka. Veggie Soup) is a member organization made up of individuals and institutions involved in the field of development. Members include those working as development officers, fund raisers, foundation staff, grant writers, and the leadership of many of the region’s non-profits. The monthly meetings offer an opportunity for networking with colleagues and speakers and cover a diverse range of topics in the field:

  • Operational issues for public and private foundations
  • Marketing and communications for organizations
  • Grant seeking
  • Fundraising and Event Planning
  • Organizations and their structural development
  • Legal and Financial Trends

ON-GOING PROJECTS

The group is working on bringing back a Grants Center featuring both the print and online resources of the Foundation Center, the premier development publisher and network organization. In partnership with the Springfield Planned Giving Council, the group is developing a joint promotional campaign under the “Leave a Legacy” Program.

Meet the Donor:Representatives from foundations, companies, and other grantors are invited to present their opportunities of funding. Past presenters have included the Dominion Foundation, Morgan Family Foundation, Lima Rotary Foundation.

Veggie Soup meets on the second Thursday of each month, except for July and August, from 11:30-1:00 at The Ohio State University/Lima’s Public Service Building.
There are two options for membership fees:

Option 1: 10 lunches @ $10.00 = $100.00

Option 2: 20 lunches for two individuals to attend @$10.00 = $180.00
