The Lima Community Foundation Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Robin Frazier as its new Executive Director, following a search conducted by Benefactor Group. Frazier, a committed volunteer and staff leader with established connections within the Lima-Allen County philanthropic and nonprofit communities, is ideally positioned to champion the Foundation’s mission—to connect donors who care with causes that matter.

“We are delighted to welcome Robin Frazier as the next Executive Director of the Lima Community Foundation,” said Karen Boitnott, Chair of the Board.  “She is an innovative and visionary leader with an abundance of experience, strong community connections, and a deep commitment to the Foundation’s mission. Frazier’s expertise will help propel growth and expand our ability to serve donors and the greater Lima-Allen County community.”

Frazier joins the Lima Community Foundation after a successful tenure as Interim Executive Director at Bradfield Community Center. In her time at Bradfield, first as a Board leader and then in the Interim Director role, Frazier led a campaign to grow the Center’s membership, expand programming, and realize major capital improvements to support its ongoing operations and long-term financial sustainability.

Additionally, Frazier has been actively involved in various community focused organizations, serving on the board of the Sigma Mu Chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, and the Sisters in Service Community Foundation, and the Gardendale Church of God Council.

“Since its founding, the Lima Community Foundation has been a leading voice in efforts to uplift noble causes in our community and connect donors with opportunities to support the causes most important to them,” commented Frazier. “I believe a thriving community is one with a commitment to supporting all residents, and the future of the greater Lima-Allen County community will be defined by how we choose to give back. I am honored and excited to partner with the committed board and generous donors to expand the Lima Community Foundation’s impact in our community.”

As the Executive Director, Frazier will oversee the Foundation’s operations and administration of scholarships that support dozens of students each year. She will be vital to fundraising, financial management, community collaboration, and stakeholder relations. Under Frazier’s guidance, the Foundation will grow to help donors positively impact the lives of Lima-Allen County residents for generations to come. “Her extensive experience and dedication to community development makes her a valuable asset to the Lima community and we are thrilled to welcome her to the Foundation.” said Boitnott.

Frazier succeeds Susie Gray, who served in the role from 1990 until retirement in 2023. Frazier will assume the Executive Director role on March 4, 2024.

MAKING OUR COMMUNITY A BETTER PLACE SINCE 1965

The Lima Community Foundation connects people who care with causes that matter.

We serve as a vehicle for donors, volunteers and community members to identify important needs and build resources to make positive change in our region.

Every day, the Lima Community Foundation is helping individuals, businesses, nonprofit organizations and other foundations meet their charitable and financial goals by serving as a vehicle which makes giving to one’s community easier, more flexible and effective. We work to encourage endowment building as an effective means to address community challenges and opportunities. We promote and facilitate community philanthropy, and we also help our donors invest in organizations they care about.

We do this by:

  • Making strategic investment in programs and organizations that benefit the region.
  • Equipping organizations and the public with knowledge and information that will lead to positive change.
  • Building endowment – community capital – to meet our region’s needs today and tomorrow.
  • Providing expert assistance to donors and their advisors in the charitable needs.
